Construction News Award Nomination

The Construction News Awards are back and celebrating 23 years of showcasing the very best in the industry. Having become the most prestigious and coveted awards in our sector, winning a Construction News Award is a well-recognised badge of excellence amongst clients and peers.

Here at ABG we are delighted to announce that our work on the A14 Cambridge to Huntington with The A14 Integrated Delivery Team has been shortlisted in the Sustainable Project of the Year Category at this year’s Construction News Awards.

ABG provided full design support to allow Deckdrain to be used for structural drainage on the project in place of the specified porous block drainage. Where it was used ABG Deckdrain contributed a 92% reduction in embodied carbon footprint from material manufacturing, transport to site and installation operations.

The A14 Integrated Delivery Team has shown an inspiring level of dedication to sustainability in their works as a whole and ABG are very proud that we have been able to help contribute to this.
