Erosamat Type 2 biodegradable coir mesh, is a heavy duty erosion control mat ideal for use where plant growth could be slow i.e. late season planting or poor fertility soil. The biodegradable coir matting can also be used where extremes of temperature may be experienced, making it suitable for use in a broad range of climatic conditions.
Erosamat Type 2 is manufactured from coir, a 100% biodegradable product and one of natures strongest fibres. It will maintain its tensile strength even when submerged, making it suitable for use in applications such as river beds and it is resistant to UV degradation.
The coir in Erosamat Type 2 will biodegrade very slowly over a period of several years, providing plenty of time for the vegetation to establish, even on very poor quality soils.
